Campaigns
The West Ardsley Action Group (WAAG) regularly co-ordinates and plans local campaigns which benefit the local community and our surrounding environment.
Recently, Jack Dunn (former local councillor) supported the community to ask for a vehicle speed count on Batley Road, West Ardsley. This has resulted in the procurement of a digital ‘speed reduction’ sign which is planned for installation in the very near future next to the national speed limit sign (as Batley Road approached from Wakefield) into the village. WAAG is hopeful that this new addition will serve as a proactive and effective means of reminding road users of 30mph speed limit in this area and reduce their speed on Batley Road which has long been overdue.
